Satori retreat hero aerial view

Luxury, stillness, and space to return to yourself.

Set above Mulshi Lake and held by the quiet rhythms of the Sahyadris, Satori is a private retreat of twenty-one rooms where nature, design and thoughtful hospitality come together in balance.

A farm fifty steps from the kitchen. Mulshi Lake below the verandahs. A chef who cooks what was picked that morning. Satori is a private estate of twenty-one rooms in the Sahyadris, built slowly, and run by people who remember your name.

Spread across a serene estate overlooking Mulshi Lake, Satori is designed for those seeking more than a weekend away. It is for couples in search of quiet intimacy, families wanting unhurried time together, friends gathering with meaning, and individuals ready to step away from noise and back into presence.

OUR STORY

A place that grew, rather than arrived.

Satori was not conceived as a resort and placed upon a landscape.

It grew slowly from the land around it — from a home overlooking Mulshi Lake, from gardens planted and tended, from trees allowed to mature and spaces created over time.

One stay became another. Paths appeared between them. A garden began feeding the kitchen. Birds found their way into the names of rooms. Places to eat, gather, walk and simply sit emerged where they seemed to belong.

What exists today is less a hotel in the conventional sense than an estate that has gradually learnt how to welcome people.

That is Satori.

Dining, Wellness & The Land

Sustained by the estate, restored by the land.

Dining at Satori, warm meal beside the lake

Dining

The garden is not a feature. It is the kitchen.

Most retreats describe their food as farm-to-table. At Satori the farm is fifty steps from the pass. Vegetables, herbs and fruits are picked the morning they are served, and the menu follows what the farm is giving rather than what a printed card demands. Cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, black pepper, kokum and curry leaf grow a few steps from the kitchen.

Wellness & Spa

A spa in a garden, not a basement.

Satori’s spa block sits within the estate’s planted grounds, open to green on every side. Treatments are simple and restorative, delivered without ceremony or upsell. Beyond the treatment rooms, wellness here is simply the shape of the day — yoga at sunrise, a walk through the medicinal beds, a swim under open sky, and the relief of having nowhere urgent to be.

The Land

First you hear the birds.
Then you feel quiet inside.

The sun comes up over the lake. The birds start to sing. You walk out with a cup of tea. The grass is wet, and the trees are full of fruit. Two hundred kinds of plants grow here, and nothing is in a hurry. After one day, you feel slow and calm. After two, you feel like you again.

Walk the Land

Experiences

Do everything. Or nothing at all.

Cycle the estate. Pluck fruit in season. Picnic by the water. Play pickleball or lose an afternoon to the pool. Gather at the bonfire as the hills fall silent and the sky opens.Nothing here is compulsory. That is rather the point.

Everything about our stay was phenomenal, right from the location to the ambience and the homely food. We stayed in the single occupancy rooms which spacious and had an old rustic charm to them. We suggest you to ask the chef for recommendations as he prepares local food really well. We were lucky to meet and have a chat with the owners who also happened to be there, they personally made it a point to meet the guests and make us feel at home. The manager Anirban is also very helpful, hospitable and hands on. The WiFi can be a bit patchy at times and cellular network is non existent, perfect to soak in everything the property and the surrounding nature has to offer. If you’re travelling from Mumbai, try getting there via Pali, Tamhini Ghat and Kundalika Valley. The road it’s great and scenic except for the last couple of kilometres where it’s not that great. Property is senior citizen friendly too.

Satori has the best service possible, once you visit you will be spoilt by the team. They serve farm fresh home cooked meals with live counters and the best hospitality. The villa hornbill is by far the best stay I have experienced as a staycation. This was my second visit to Satori and it was totally worth it. Every corner of the room is uniquely designed with a lot of thought into the details. It is right off the lake. The property is better than it looks in pictures.

We recently hosted our Yi Pune retreat at Satori Estate, and the experience was genuinely wonderful. The property itself is beautifully developed and maintained with a lot of care. What really stands out is how thoughtfully the entire space has been curated for both corporate retreats and family getaways. And while the dam view is spectacular, the property has much more to offer. The views in every direction are beautiful, ensuring that almost every room and villa has its own scenic setting. A special mention to Chef Pradeep and his team for the fantastic food throughout our stay. Every meal was thoughtfully prepared, delicious and well appreciated by our group. What impressed us most, however, was the service and attitude of the entire staff. We were a group of 30+ people, with plenty of requests and requirements, including some at fairly late hours. The team was always willing to help, respond quickly and go the extra mile to make sure everyone was comfortable. A big thank you to the entire Satori Estate team for making our retreat such a memorable one. Beautiful property, great food, wonderful views and, most importantly, genuinely warm hospitality. Would definitely recommend Satori Estate for anyone looking for a well-managed destination for a corporate retreat, family celebration or simply a peaceful getaway

We were a group of 9 couples and stayed at Satori for 2N Very well maintained property with helpful and friendly staff on a scenic location. Little expensive but worth the extra cost for sure! The icing on the cake was warm and welcoming owner couple Sadhana & Shishir 🫰🏽 Will definitely come back again soon.. A big shout out to Amol & Rohit.

We had an absolutely amazing experience at Satori Woodhouse. From the beautiful stay to the warm and attentive customer service, every little detail made our time there truly special. A very special mention to Pradeep, the chef, and his wonderful team — Suvarna, Hiten, Sunny and Rishav — for their hospitality, care and delicious food. Their warmth made us feel completely at home. What made the experience even more memorable was the personal interaction with the owners, Sadhna and Shishir. Their genuine warmth, kindness and personal attention truly set Satori Woodhouse apart. All in all, it was a wonderful experience, and we’re leaving with some beautiful memories. Thank you, Satori Woodhouse, for making our stay so special! ❤️

My 3rd visit to Satori, Mulshi, and every time I discover something new about this beautiful property. 🌿 What I particularly love about Satori is how thoughtfully it blends architecture with nature. The bird-inspired theme, beautifully designed cottages, open spaces, lush gardens and greenery make the entire estate feel like a little world of its own. Set against the Mulshi landscape, with the lake, mountains and vegetation all around, it is the kind of place where you naturally slow down and disconnect. There is so much to explore within and around the property: the swimming pool, gardens, farm spaces, peaceful walks and the nearby trek. And the buggy service makes moving around the expansive property effortless and fun! 🚙🌿 But what made this third visit especially memorable was coincidentally meeting the owners & getting to know the people behind this beautiful place. Their warmth, personal involvement and genuine concern for their guests are a wonderful reflection of how deeply they care about Satori and the experience they want every guest to have. Satori is not just a stay; it is an experience where architecture, nature and hospitality come together beautifully. ❤️

A little distance from the familiar. A little more time than usual. A little less noise.

And, somewhere between arriving and leaving, a little more space within you.
